I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research
.Hi my name is Liz…..I am an average person, I have a job, volunteer at my church and my husband and I are proud parents of 4 healthy children ages 32 to 19. We are truly blessed.
I am reaching out to you today with an opportunity…..an opportunity to help children that are not healthy, children fighting cancer. I have made a promise to myself this year…to make a visible difference in someone’s life. I have decided to shave my head with many people in The St. Baldrick’s group. The opportunity that I am giving you is to help me make that difference. If you could please donate $1, $5, $10 or more then shaving my head will be worth the effort. I guess you could say that I am asking you to pay for me to shave my head! My goal:
To get past the vanity of being bald as the children wear it with a badge of courage and not of choice
To raise over $2,500 (or more) for this moment of humility to help others
To stand out in a crowd and be given the opportunity to tell people that they can make a difference for the children dealing with cancer
I hope you can help me with my quest….and maybe you will join me
Be it known to all that this participant has dedicated at least three years of service to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation helping kids with cancer throughout all the land.
