Seven years ago I started something that has now become with Jimmy that has become much more meaningful than I ever thought possible. I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! This started out with me doing this not knowing anyone directly. I did this is honor of Mickey, my aunt Tracy's cousin. A couple years later Aunt Tracy's daughter and the most special kid I know, Alice got leukemia. The impact was life changing. She is OK now but the reality of what happened is still too much. Those couple of years just kind of seem like a bad dream. I am still not very good at thinking about everything that happened. All that matters is that she is OK now and healthy.
I am doing this today because I want to help make a difference. Every little bit helps. At the end all of the help is what made Alice better.
Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.
Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
