I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Tayla's Rays Keep Shining

I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Tayla's Rays Keep Shining

On June 3, 2006, my friend Mandy was blessed with a gorgeous baby girl, Tayla Rae. By Labor Day weekend, after only 3 months of enjoying her baby's smiles and her new proud single mom status, Tayla was diagnosed with Leukemia. Mandy and Tayla lived at St. Louis Children's Hospital for the next 11 months until Tayla joined the rest of the angels in heaven to keep a watchful eye on her momma. In her short 14 months here, Tayla's sunny disposition and constant smile had a profound impact on the lives of so many people around her. I can't imagine what she would have done if she'd had more time. In Tayla's memory and along with her momma Mandy, I'm raising money for childhood cancer research. Kids' cancers are so much different from adult cancers. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. For every individual or company who donates at least $150 to Mandy's or my page prior to Valentine's Day, we will print your logo or special message on the back of our t-shirts (send your artwork/message to RachaelCon13@gmail.com prior to 2/14/15). These t-shirts will be worn by Mandy's support team at Helen Fitzgerald's when she has her head shaved on March 7, 2015 as well as by my team running the Chicago Shamrock Shuffle 8k in Tayla's memory on March 29, 2015. Also, anyone who donates at least $20 to Mandy's or my page will receive a t-shirt (email your shirt size to RachaelCon13@gmail.com). Please help us reach our team goal of $3500 to support the fight against childhood cancer, so we can keep our tiny angels on earth a little longer. Thank you for your generosity! Much love, Rachael 636.328.4544
