I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with:
Gen Re
Less than 4% of the National Cancer Institute's budget is directed to childhood cancer research. Put another way, less than $1 out of every $25 in cancer funding goes towards childhood cancer research.
I'll give you a minute to let that sink in...
In addition, the major pharmaceutical companies have also determined that there's not much money to be made in fighting childhood cancers. These companies provide the majority of funds for fighting adult cancers, so there is precious little funding for research into childhood cancers. That's where St. Baldricks comes in - 79.2% of all funds raised go directly to research to combat cancer in children and young adults.
This is my fourth year participating in St. Baldricks, and I'm proud to say that my two oldest sons will be joining me again this year. Words cannot express how proud I am of them for their continued commitment to helping find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please consider donating to this important cause.
THANK YOU!!!
Be it known to all that this participant has dedicated at least seven years of service to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation helping kids with cancer throughout all the land.
St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.
