I'm shaving my head again for the 9th year in a row to raise money for childhood cancer research! I do this because of my own daughter's battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when she was just 10 years old. She will be 19 years old next month, and I am forever thankful of organizations like St. Baldrick's that have such a lasting impact on research funding for childhood cancer treatment. I have seen how this money has helped here locally with the care and treatment of children in my own community. Without the kindhearted and generous people who donate for childhood cancer research I don't know how my daughter's story would have turned out. Research funding is woefully lacking for childhood cancers at the national level, so events like this for St. Baldrick's are vital to solving how to fund cancer treatment research for children. Today my daughter is healthy and living a normal life as a college student thanks to the treatment she received which took many years and dollars of research in developing. Please donate whatever amount you feel comfortable with, and believe me every single dollar makes a difference for a child with cancer. Their lives depend on it, my daughter's life did.
