Many of you know that cancer has had a massive impact on my life from the age of 5 when I learned of the word.
I often look at my wife and my daughters and remain thankful that this disease has not extended its relentless and merciless curse even further into my immediate little circle.
I am lucky, this fact I am well aware of! Privileged to be living on a beautiful part of this planet complimented by my amazing family, in a small and tranquil community but under no illusion that my little slice of paradise can be taken from me within seconds. In fact, living in a smaller community sometimes brings things 'closer to home' (Hannah Meeson needs no introduction to the people of Cayman).
We are in a generation of medical technology and human invention beyond our expectation yet cancer cases rise. We realize that pooling money into a problem won't resolve things over night but with the collective drive, hope and power of human kindness that we share as a global community - we will one day get to the root of this devastating word.
On roots - there won't be any of those left on the top of my head come Friday night. In a nutshell and on my nutshell, I'm shaving my bean clean to raise money for childhood cancer research along with a few colleagues!
I have not had the opportunity to ask everyone personally to donate, I am not asking anyone to clear your bank balance but rather, if you have a dollar or two to spare then PLEASE click on the 'donate' button on this page to keep fighting for a cure.
This page is dedicated to my late mother Jane and to little Hannah.
Sincere thanks for for visiting this page.
