I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hello everyone! I wanted to bring your attention real quick to a Saint Bladricks event that my friend Amy is putting on, one that I am helping organize and am raising money for. For those of you who have perhaps never heard of St. Baldricks, it is a non-profit group that works to provide funding to childhood cancer. The idea for it started at an irish pub in Manhattan back in 2002, and since then St. Baldricks has become one of the largest contributors to childhood cancer research funds, second only to the US Government. However, childhood cancer is different from adult cancers, and childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So when my friend Amy came to me and with this crazy idea of shaving her head for childhood cancer I listened to what she had to say. Now, on November 22, 2014, Amy and many others will be donating their hair and shaving their heads in honor of children with cancer.

Now if you are wondering if I am going to shave my head, the answer is No; dyed hair is not accepted for donations and I don't actually have the guts to shave my head. However, until November 22 I will be helping Amy plan for this event by coordinating barber participants. Amy and I and a team of about 4 others are going to be working very hard to make this event as successful as possible and, with your help, we hope to raise both money for childhood cancer research.
