I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: GoodMedizen

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: GoodMedizen

After my wife slapped down the challenge, I was in! I have joined Team GoodMedizen in support of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation (funding children’s cancer research) and will shave my head on Saturday March 29th. (Yes - ONE WEEK AWAY!) Why am I doing this? First, I love my kids very much, I want to support all the family’s that are fighting children’s cancer by funding additional research. Children’s cancer is different from adult cancer and doesn’t receive the same level of funding. By raising donations, I make a difference. Second, I want Julia (almost 7) and Audrey (almost 5) to see what it means to support a cause and express their support in a highly visible way. I also want them to appreciate the good health our friends and family enjoy. Third, when Shelley (my wife) announced she was doing it and that I might join her, several friends wrote back and said, “Eric still has hair?!?” I was reminded of the time my sister suggested I get hair plugs, when I learned a good friend uses Rogaine, and jokes about what I have in common with a bunch of rabbits jumping backward in a row…. (wait for it…) a receding hare line. Enough pulling my hair out over the teasing - it’s time to remove the target! Who knows – I may just keep it like this!! Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
