I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Crusher's Crew

Hi, my name is Damion, and I work for Alpine Bank in Delta, Colorado. Although I have lived in Colorado for the past 34 years, I am originally from Southern California. For years, I have donated, what I could afford, to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, but I have been wanting to do something locally for children's cancer. Several months ago, when my friend Jim Hamlin mentioned his involvement with St. Baldrick’s, I knew that I wanted to be a part of the event. Initially, I thought I would volunteer, but after some introspection, I decided that I wanted to be a shavee instead. On June 28th, I will be shaving my head, and I will be bald for the first time since I was two years old (I was a late bloomer when it came to hair on my head). I feel honored to be part of a wonderful team of people. Together, we can make an impact in the lives of children, and the family members and friends of those affected by children’s cancer ; pay it forward, do the right thing, and offer a smile or shoulder when needed. Though our individual contributions may seem small, as a group, we can make a difference, through donations, and through our actions.
