I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team GiGi

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team GiGi

Back in high school in 1984, I collected pledges for my "Sponsor-a-Mohawk" campaign where I committed to cut my 'fro to look like Mr. T. A little older (okay, a lot older), more mature (perhaps not), and sporting a low-profile afro, I'm at it again in support of a much worthier cause.

On Wednesday, March 19th, I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! I'm honoring my friends Giuliana Geller and her parents, Jackie and Chris. You can learn about Giuliana's story here: http://goo.gl/vbMuc7

Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. After the shave, I'll post my new dome. Thanks for your anticipated support!

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
