I'm shaving my head to honor my daughter, Lily, who was diagnosed last year with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, and for all those kids who have fought, are fighting, or didn't start their fight against childhood cancer. Since the day she lost her hair from the toxic chemo therapies, I have been shaving my head to visually show her she wasn't alone. Now I do it to support a great cause that puts their money into this fight. Even better, they support our very own Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.
I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? I didn't pay close enough attention to this issue. I felt like it would never happen to my daughter. I was oblivious to the impacts on the child, the family, and the friends that support us. It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
