Hi everybody! Welcome to my page, my name is Ronald Lucarelli and I'm a sophomore at Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois! If you don't know me, let me fill you in! I'm currently a biology major here at Loyola, aspiring to go to medical school and become an oncologist one day. Why oncology? I have watched cancer and how it impacts families, friends, and acquaintances in so many ways. My hope is to ultimately have the privilege to learn and practice medicine to help make a difference for a disease that affects so many. Cancer for a start changes the patient's lifestyle in a number of ways, and to experience that to some degree would be rather hard. Because of this, I decided there was one way that I can experience a lifestyle change and be able to relate to cancer patients: hair loss. In recognition of kids and adults, I joined on with St. Baldrick's Foundation in hopes to be able to learn and grow from this shaving of the head so that I can feel just one thing that many patient's deal with when facing stronger chemotherapy treatments. Being a representative of fighting cancer for kids through St. Baldrick's, I'm hopeful that some of you can support my cause! I'm fundraising as much as I can (my goal is 100 to start!) so that I can help the cause of this great foundation and what they do for children fighting cancer. Please, consider donating to my cause or even joining with me in shaving YOUR head!! How exciting! Let's make this an awesome show of support everybody! Thanks for reading a bit about me, and I thank you all very much for any donations you consider giving to this wonderful foundation! Please let me know if you do, as I would like to privately contact you for the purpose of giving thank you cards after the big shave day!
Kindly,
Ronald Lucarelli
