I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Dear Friends and Family, On March 14th, I will be joining some of my classmates and shaving my head to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, who typically lose their hair during treatment. More importantly, I'm doing it to help raise funds for childhood cancer research! Worldwide, more than 160,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. I have been waiting to shave my head since last year when I first learned about this Foundation. The St. Baldrick's Foundation partners with organizations around the world to fund childhood cancer research. We must all do everything we can to give kids a better chance for a cure. This year, a portion of the funds raised will be donated to Bermuda Cancer & Health in support of their Sun Smart cancer prevention program for children.
