Hello my name is Ashley Westhaver, I am a student that currently attends Saltus Grammar School and I am in the SGY program in my last year of high school. Why am I having my head shaved? In 2012 my best friend was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at 16. For the last two years she has been undergoing numerous surgeries. It has been a very difficult two years but her strength and support from family and friends has been outstanding. I would like to shave my head for her and to others who are and have been struggling with cancer to show my support. The St. Baldrick's Foundation partners with organizations around the world to fund childhood cancer research. I want to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, who typically lose their hair during treatment. More importantly, I'm doing it to raise funds for childhood cancer research! Worldwide, more than 160,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. We must all do everything we can to give kids a better chance for a cure.To support me on behalf of these very special kids, please click "Make a Donation" above, or donate by mail or phone.
Thank you for your support!
