I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Last May, at this very same event, my wonderful mother shaved her head in honor of her younger sister, who had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Throughout the process of chemo, surgeries, and all that comes with the treatment of cancer, I learned just how strong a woman can be. My mother and aunt have taught me that bald is beyond beautiful. It represents unmeasurable strength, a war that's being fought, and above all, courage. This is a lesson I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Our family supports St. Baldricks, and will continue to do so through the years because we recognize the importance of the money that is raised at events such as this. Truly, every penny counts. So get involved! Donate, volunteer, or sign up to be a shavee like me and raise some money of your own towards this great foundation.

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
