I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with:
Kristen's Krusade
For the past few years I have joined with my good friend and former LaSalle mom Monica Kuchinskas in helping at the event her family runs in honor of her niece Kristen diagnosed with neuroblastoma. Each year we ask for donations for raffle baskets, donations of knit hats and for folks to raise funds and shave their heads in honor of Kristen and to fund research for pediatric cancers. Each year I have also helped as the emcee of the event which is so much fun and also so moving as you see so many people donating to the cause.
This year we again would like to honor LaSalle Alumnus Shannon Serkes, a beautiful young woman who lost her two year battle with rhabdoid cancer.
Please join us at this amazing event - the more money we raise for research the more lives that can be saved and families that can be spared the grief of watching their child deal with cancer. Come on down for some friendship, a beer, a raffle and of course a haircut!!!
Be it known to all that this participant has dedicated at least three years of service to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation helping kids with cancer throughout all the land.
St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
