I should start by saying that I am so lucky that I am not doing this in honor of any one particular child I know. So many people are not fortunate enough to say the same.
Until recently I was not aware that childhood cancers are different from adult cancers and that childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to help do something about it by raising money for cures. Naturally, being the Kate Thompson many of you might so fondly remember, this can't involve something as simple as passing an envelope around.....that being said, I will be at the above listed event on March 15, 2014 to have my HEAD SHAVED. The last time I shaved my head was about 20 years and 60 pounds ago. Not to mention I was WAY cooler then (I was! Just ask me!)
Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
Come join us at the event and CHEER FOR/LAUGH AT me....laughing requires a heftier donation.
DIG DEEP PEOPLE! Next time I'll just be passing an envelope.
