My life has been touched by cancer in small doses. My uncle, Timmy, or who would have been my uncle, died of Leukemia when he was a young child. My friend, Jason, from high school has a son that is in remission from ALL Leukemia. My co-worker Amanda's son Isaac is in remission from a rare childhood cancer. He is one of my Honored Kids. My college roommate, Jessica, has a young daughter with Down Syndrome who has recently been diagnosed with ALL Leukemia and is currently in treatment. I don't think that any child should have to endure the wrath of cancer and I hope someday no child will have to.
I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.
Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
