Being diagnosed with cancer is scary, and I have experienced it first hand. My cancer was surgically removed, and as of December 2013, I am cancer free! My "battle" with cancer was very mild and still life changing. As a mother, I cannot imagine the struggles faced by parents whose children are sick with cancer. As a survivor, I remember the stress and fear of being diagnosed with cancer and hope one day children can be spared that experience.
I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! As a survivor, I am shaving my head to show solidarity with children who have lost their hair from cancer. Childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So, I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
My desire is "flip cancer the bird" on March 22, at The Flipside in Clayton. Cancer couldn't take my life and it should never have the chance to hurt a child!
I am choosing to honor Katherine C. I found her on the St. Baldrick's website, she is from my area, and we share a name! (I am Kathryn C!) Please help me honor Katherine and raise money for a great cause!
I am so excited to make this journey with the help of my supporters, friends, and family! THANK YOU in advance for your donations and prayers as I near my destination!
