I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with:
Cool Brother
I’m shaving my head in honor of my niece Haley who has been battling her brain tumor for 10 years now. She has such a beautiful spirit, very outgoing and has a personality that will take your breath away. Haley was diagnosed on Nov. 6, 2002, at 7 months old, with her brain tumor (astrocytoma). She has already gone through 2 long rounds of chemo in her 11 ½ years of life. She received weekly chemo treatments from the age of 7 months to the age of 2. At 5 1/2 changes started to occur with her tumor and Haley started chemo treatments for another year. Hailey has been such a trooper through all of this and is currently in maintenance. Her next MRI will be in March, 2014.
Haley has been such a brave little girl through this journey and has recently started "Haley's Hope Hats. She is knitting hats for children at Lury's who are going through chemo treatments. At such a young age Haley is already giving back.
