I've always taken the bad and made it something good. That's because of Shawna. She was the strongest person I have ever know and she handled her cancer with such grace. So when life throws me curve balls I know exactly when to swing and when to just strike out. Somethings are completely out of our control but that does not mean you can't make the best of the situation. Like making something scary something awesome. I've made a career out of the "something scary". And let me tell you it is the best business out there. Cancer is horrifying but in those horribly tough times you see the best in people. Strength comes in the actions of a child going to ballet after a spinal tap. Compassion comes from a friend running as fast as she can to get to the hospital to be with her best friend. And then all at once this life debilitating horror turns into this amazing journey. Yes it is still scary but you are taught so much about faith, courage, and how much people truly love each other. In every dark path there is a light at the end. And you are not walking down it alone.
