I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with:
Team Grace
I have gone bald several years in a row in an effort to raise money for St. Baldrick’s and Childhood Cancer Research. This year I will shed my hair again, but I will do it in support of my niece, Grace.
Grace is 2 years old and was diagnosed with Leukemia in November 2013. She was a healthy, active and joyful toddler that delighted in keeping up with her three older siblings. My sister brought her to the ER for a persistent fever and complaints of chest pain expecting to be sent home to let a virus run its course. Instead, Grace was diagnosed with cancer and their lives have been forever changed. Grace’s prognosis is very good, but she still faces a minimum of 2.5 years of intensive chemotherapy and treatment. My niece faces more days in treatment for her cancer than she has spent living; enduring procedures and chemo that no one—especially a two year old—should have to endure. She is a total rock star and is kicking cancer’s ass!
Please join me in supporting Grace and children like her as we raise money to fund research for a cure, so that no child has to fight this battle again!
Be it known to all that this participant has dedicated at least seven years of service to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation helping kids with cancer throughout all the land.
St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.
