I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research
On March 1, 2014, I'll be shaving my head as part of a fundraiser for research of childhood cancer. My goal is to raise $500 for St. Baldrick's Foundation for childhood cancer research and this is important to me because less than 4% of the National Cancer Institute's budget is directed to childhood cancer research. That is about $2.2 million dollars for 29 institutions. I couldn't imagine if one of my babies were to be a victim of cancer and find that because funding is so limited that there were few treatment options.
Please help me meet my goal to raise $500. Whether it be by donating $1 or a $100, any amount is helpful and greatly appreciated.
