I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with:
The Shaving Irish
It's hard to believe that I am now in my 5th year of supporting St. Baldrick's and fighting to put an end to pediatric cancer. We have set another large goal again this year. Your help is especially needed this year as cancer research funding, especially pediatric cancer, has been reduced in recent years. (http://www.stbaldricks.org/blog/post/congressional-budget-cuts-threaten-childhood-cancer-research/)
St. Baldrick's is the second largest not-for-profit funding body next to U.S. Government research. The funds are likely currently supporting doctors and researchers in your area hospitals. I know we have been fortunate to have researchers funded the last several years at Pittsburgh's Children's Hospital. St. Baldrick's is virtually all volunteer run so a great percentage of every dollar contributed goes directly to the research goal of finding cures.
I ask that you please join me this year in making a donation to St. Baldrick's, sharing my message through your social networks, joining our team and fundraising with us, or just coming out the day of the event. Who know's, the money you donate just might lead to a breakthrough that not only ends pediatric cancer, but all cancers.
I truly appreciate all your support. Thank you for all that you do help support this cause with us.
Be it known to all that this participant has dedicated at least ten years of service to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation helping kids with cancer throughout all the land.
St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
