I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Stephen

On June 12th 2012 Stephen Easton Jr. was killed in a tragic car accident on his Birthday. He was 34 years old. My family and his have been friends for 30 years. Stephen & my nephews Pudge & Ryan played on the same little league teams throughout their careers. Steve Easton Sr. and my brother Keith Hoover coached them to numerous championships. I had the pleasure to coach Stephen a few years myself. He was the kind of kid you loved having on your team and in your life. Stephen also wrestled for East Bay HS. He liked to hunt, fish, boat and Jet Ski. He just loved life. Stephens favorite charity was St. Baldrick's Foundation for Children's Cancer Research and for the last 5 years shaved his head for the charity. When Stephen pasted, his parents asked instead of flowers please donate to St. Baldrick's. So with that and a charity event at O'Tooles Pub in Brandon where Stephen was a bar tender and later the manager, his Father and others shaved their heads and raised nearly $8,000. Last year I donated and this year I will shave my head on Sept. 14th O'Tools Irish Pub. You can donate by going to this website: stbaldricks.org & Search for my name, Bob Hoover. Or stop by and see me. A few weeks ago Steve Sr & I started about 200 Hibiscus. We call them "Norm" after Stephens Grandfather. It is a unique plant and anyone who donates can come by and get one. We miss Stephen dearly and know he would be proud.
