I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I have never shaved, buzzed, or cut my hair relatively close to what this event will do. It probably will not be a good hairstyle for the shape of my face and I might even have a weird shaped head. I have heard that once you shave your head, your hair doesn't grow back in the same way again.

All of these things mean nothing to me. I joined this event to share in a minuscule part of the suffering children (or adult) cancer patients have to endure and to raise money while doing it.

It doesn't always have to be a solemn event! Perspective is key. With that in mind, let's have some fun and get involved.

My monetary goal to raise is $200. Motivations for helping me raise money, along with shaving my head:

If we reach $50, then I will match the donation up to $50 myself.

If we reach $100, then I won't wear any hats, specifically to cover up my shaved head.

If we reach $150, then I will bake cookies with love and send each donator a dozen*.

If we reach $200, then I will send a before and after picture to each donator with a personalized note on the back*.

If we reach $300, then I will do a choreographed dance (at least 5 minutes) in public, record it, and upload it to youtube for all my donators to see.

If we reach $500, then I will convince a complete stranger to shave his or her head with me on the day of the event.

If we reach $1000+, then [TO BE ANNOUNCED].

*it would be impossible to send things to an anonymous donor, so keep that in mind, unless you want to opt out of these things

Lets have some fun while helping to raise money for these children!
