I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Blue Balds

Hey EVERYONE!
While I realize that I have probably been blocked from 3/4 of my Facebook friend's news feeds, I want to ask for all of your help for two REALLY special events that I am participating in. I have decided to launch my own team and would encourage all of you to donate, join my team, or just show up for the events to support Conquer Kid's Cancer!
Throughout my 10 years in law enforcement I have worked for two GREAT police departments (Hoffman Estates and Elgin). And during that time, too many of my brothers and sisters in blue have had children that have been diagnosed with one type of cancer or another. As many of you know, my son, Korbin, was diagnosed 5 years ago with Juvenile Diabetes. Since then, being the parent of a special needs child has REALLY hit me hard. I support numerous diabetes research foundations and fundraisers, and this year I’m getting my own St. Baldrick's team together - Blue Balds. Would you expect less?
On Saturday, May 11th, I will be "letting go of my fro" that I have been growing since March 1st and shaving my head down to the scalp! Later that afternoon, there will be a HUGE family event at America's Bar & Grill (2308 W. Higgins Rd., Hoffman Estates) that includes face painting, an inflatable bouncer, and a special acoustic set by 7th Heaven. This even starts at 2p.m.
Please show your support at one or both of these events. I look forward to seeing you all there!!!
I just signed up to raise money for St. Baldrick's. Please check out my webpage! http://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/645375/2013 to donate.

I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you! Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
