I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Cancer is a devastating disease not only to its victims, but to the family of its victims. Though all the despair and sorrow, the love people have for one another is the greatest thing that comes out cancer in being in itself such a negative disease. My family has been influenced by cancer through the deaths of my grandmother, Raffaella, and my cousin Matilda who died of breast cancer at very young ages. I would love nothing more than to help victims of cancer with donations towards their recovery. The pain and suffering patients have to go through everyday makes shaving my head not difficult in the least. If I can join cancer patients by shaving my head to make myself and others feel equal by shaving my head I will do so. St. Baldrick's day is a day where love can be shared for everyone and be felt not as a day of suffering and pain, but as a day for healing and comfort.
