I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Evan

Welcome to the Team Evan site of St. Baldricks! I have been familiar with this organization for a number of years and have contributed in the past through financial donations. It is a great cause and one that I am proud to participate in. This year I will also participate as a shavee for my friends and Collins colleagues, Jeremy and Lindsay Ginter. I wish I had more to give, hair and money, but am hoping that by expanding the network of supporters, we can supplement the few remaining hairs on my head with a sizeable financial contribution to this worthy cause. Jeremy and Lindsay had their first child (Evan) eight months ago. On December 22, 2008, Evan, at a mere 7 months of age, was diagnosed with Type 1 pleuropulmonary blastoma (PPB). PPB is an extremely rare form of cancer. Children's Hospital in Minnesota only sees one of these cases every few years and there are only 10-20 cases diagnosed in the entire United States each year. Fortunately, Evan was diagnosed early and a couple of the leading experts for PPB are actually located in the Twin Cities. I cannot even image what Jeremy and Lindsay are going through as parents. The following is a link to Evans CaringBridge page if you are interested in learning about him and/or keeping up with his progress: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/evanginter I have known Jeremy and Lindsay since I joined Collins over three years ago. Lindsay is from ND and both are Sioux hockey fans so I know you'd like them too. Please join me and the rest of Team Evan in making a difference. Your thoughts, prayers and support are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
