I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Pat Mac's Pack

Hi! This year I am planning to cut my hair for those who need it more than me. I will be participating in the Pantene Beautiful Lengths program, which uses donated hair to create wigs for women who have lost their hair as a result of cancer treatments. But in order for my ponytail to have a bigger impact, I'll need your help. The reason I want to cut my hair for others is because I know that these women are going through bad times. Cancer is a huge problem. Some may think having a broken leg is bad, but really, it's nothing compared to cancer. These women could be feeling depressed, sad, lonely, unattractive, scared, or afraid. By cutting my hair, I can make them feel better about themselves. But these women don't just see it as hair, but also as hope. People in my family have had cancer, and it wasn't easy. It won't be easy for these women either, but this ponytail, this hair, is their hope. Their hope of knowing they're understood, and not alone. And we can make sure that some woman out there is more hopeful, but to accomplish more, I'll need your help. My school, St. Barnabas, is hosting a St. Baldrick's event on Friday, March 15, 2013 to raise money for research to stop childhood cancer. I will be cutting my ponytail on that day together with those who are shaving their heads- all of us are doing our part to help those with cancer. I have a fundraising page and would appreciate any donations towards the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Please support me!

With head-shaving and other fundraising events, this volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.

Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
