I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you! I am supporting our friends' son Aaron Thompson who is the honoree. He has been a shavee since he was 10. Inspired by Aaron and his own fight with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma I am proud to participate in Aaron's honor.
I cannot imagine the moment that a doctor tells your child that they have cancer and what the following days, weeks & hopefully years that their fight goes on. Even though this is a small gesture, (as my daughter tells me not much hair left anyway) please give as much as you can so we can be a positive force in this fight.
