Hello all:
See UPDATE below:
My son Ian has decided to answer the call to be a hero! Since I don’t have much hair left and Townsend loves his hair too much, Ian is taking over alone to shave in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support Ian with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you! Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail.
UPDATE: Just to give you all an update, On February 3rd, Ian had surgery to reverse his colostomy and take a major step towards having normal function. The results of the surgery could still be successful but Ian has had complications since the surgery (February 4th). Consequently he has been unable to EAT OR DRINK SINCE FEBRUARY 3th! Until his intestine stops leaking, he will be unable to eat or drink and will survive on IV nutrition. Ian got out of the hospital on his 10th Birthday (February 26th) and we head back home to Virginia Beach tomorrow. He has been adopted by the kitchen staff at the Kings Gate Marriott and has been preparing meals for Stacey and Myself. We cannot believe that he enjoys cooking when he can’t eat but this is therapeutic for him and we are amazed.
The Iron Man lives on and wants to raise some money!
Love,
The Larmore Family (Nemo, Stacey, Townsend and the Iron Man Ian)
We look forward to shaving on March 9th and hope you can
