I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research
If you were at last year’s Calhoun's St. Baldrick’s event, you saw Mr. Magnuson speak to us from the top of the gym bleachers and standing right next to him was a young man who was staring down his impending battle with brain cancer. He was courageous enough to stand with Mr. Magnuson to help serve as a motivation for the audience. Twelve months later, after surgery and nine months of chemotherapy and radiation, Dean Brownworth will stand again with Mr. Mags on top of the bleachers. The “motivation” he once afforded us has evolved into inspiration. I have been emailing with Mrs. Brownworth. The Brownworth family will join us on March 19. It’s time for Calhoun’s St. Baldrick’s to reach an even higher level of hope and spirit!!
Be it known to all that this participant has dedicated at least ten years of service to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation helping kids with cancer throughout all the land.
St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
