I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I am happy to tell you that I will be participating (2nd year) in the St. Baldrick's foundation fundraiser as a shavee on Saturday, March 14th at Gaynor's pub in Medinah. I'm shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research! This year I am raising funds in honor of Samirra Lisowski, a friend of my cousins. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, which is a cancer of the bones in the lobe of the brain last year, and is currently going through chemotherapy treatments. In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure. To make a donation, click on "Donate Online" or "Donate by mail or phone." If you are interested in becoming a barber or shavee or volunteer for this event, you can do so on this site. Or, you can come and join us at Gaynor's, and hoist a pint or two, I will also be celebrating my 13th year since brain cancer. Thank you for your support!
