I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Mackenzie's Lucky Charms

Hello all, and welcome to the Mackenzie’s Lucky Charms Team page. We are a group of family and friends that have come together to honor a wonderful little girl. Mackenzie is a strong and courageous little girl who has kicked cancer’s (Rhabdamayosarcoma) butt 3 times. Unfortunately it wasn’t a TKO and it came back for a 4th time as (Osteosarcoma) in August of 2012. After chemo and radiation, the doctors decided it would be best to remove the diseased bone and replace her hip with a prosthetic. Do you think that stopped her? NO WAY. She can still be found tearing around town with her walker and playing with her little sister and dogs. When Mackenzie is in remission, you can find her snow skiing or on the river with her friends and cousins. As everyone knows, Mackenzie is a River rat through and through. When we heard that the cancer had returned we, Mike & Rich, knew that we would be shaving our heads this year at the St. Baldrick’s event at Helen Fitzgerald’s on March 9th. The St Baldrick’s Foundation began in 2000 as a challenge between friends to raise a “little” money for cancer research. Their goal the first year was $17,000, but they ended the day with over $104,000 in donations. Since then, the St Baldrick’s Foundation has grown into a worldwide phenomenon which has raised over $117 million all in the name of childhood cancer research and cures! Want to be a part of that phenomenon, we are asking for your support to reach our goal of $10,000 as a Team. Donating is easy and tax deductible! There are several ways to donate. You can: If you want to donate online, go to www.stbaldricks.org, click on Make A Donation, then search our names, Michael Fischer or Richard Woelbling under shavees. When you see our picture, click on view participant page. Underneath the picture will be a green box; click on Make a Donation, and follow the instructions If you would rather mail in a donation, you still go to www.stbaldricks.org, click on Make A Donation, then search our names , Michael Fischer or Richard Woelbling under shavees; when you see our picture, click on view participant page. Underneath the picture, you will see a green box; click on Download Donation Form. You can then print and mail this form in with your donation. Please make sure my name and shavee identification number (Mike Fischer 582462, Richard Woelbling 582464) are on the form so our team gets credit! Call 1-888-899-BALD and donate over the phone. Again please have the name and ID # (Mike Fischer 582462, Richard Woelbling 582464) available so that our team gets credit for the donation. So here it is a call to you to open your hearts and wallets and give as much as you can to this wonderful organization, and support us in our goal to donate over $10,000 this year. Hope to see you there!! Mike Fischer & Richard Woelbling
