I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Willie & Coote Salon

In March of 2008, I participated in this event... and never realized what a moving and life changing experience it would be for me. So I'm quite excited to be doing it again this year. As the mother of two young boys, I cannot imagine what they would endure if they were diagnosed. I participate in this event in hopes that I never have to find out... and in honor of the children and families who fight this courageous battle every single day of their lives. Last year and this year, I am participating in the honor of Ethan Ford... you can click on the link for him below to get more information. As of today, Ethan is rounding out his first year in remission! This is great. This year, I am also participating in the memory of Jarryd Bell. He was diagnosed late last year with brain cancer. Jarryd was just a teenager... loved by many... family and friends alike. He contracted pneumonia in late January of this year and because of his weakened immune system, he lost his battle with cancer on Valentine's Day. He will be remembered for his zest for life, many friends... and the passion and joy he spread to everyone who knew him. Last year I reached my goal of 3000. And hope to do it again this year! Please know that your sponsorship WILL make a difference. I believe we will CURE CANCER in my lifetime. Thank you!
