Again, I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.

In May of 2011 I participated in my first St. Baldrick's shave event. It was a life changing event for me. It was the first time I had given of myself and was a part of such a large fund raiser for such a worthy cause. I did this in honor of Cameron J. He was a little man of courage and strength. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor early in his life. He faced the ugly cancer with courage and strength that I never think I could muster in my life. He fought a strong hard battle. Unfortunately, he lost the battle of his life in November of 2011. This September 29, 2012, I am participating in memory of Cameron and all the kids that battled cancer before him, as well as the kid that will battle cancer after him.
