I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: The Woodsmen

You heard it right - I'm shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research! I am honoring Kelly Ramljak. At the age of 12, Kelly was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL). For nearly the next 3 years, she fought her illness, enduring spinal taps, hair loss, chemotherapy and bone marrow biopsies. I am happy to say she won her fight and has been cancer free ever since. Her story does not end there. In 2008, Kelly graduated from Elmhurst College with a degree in Nursing. Today, Kelly works as a pediatric oncology nurse at Childrens Memorial Hospital... the very same hospital in which she received her life saving treatments. Kelly is not only a survivor but a hero to me, working with children facing the same challenges she overcame. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure. To make a donation, click on "Donate Online" or "Donate by mail or phone." Thank you for your support! Andy

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
