I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: cmjh

Laura Brabec Koselak PLEASE MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Okay everyone, the date approaches quickly to when I will lose all my hair for a great cause, but I need your support. On Friday, April 20th, I will have raffled off the right (to various students at my school) to shave my head (GULP!) BALD. Yep - a completely hairless dome. I'm doing this to honor the fight of one 8th grade girl at my school against cancer. Emily had a canteloupe-sized tumor removed from her abdomen and is currently undergoing chemo. In fact, she will be missing the shaving due to her a chemo treatment and that is doubly sad as we are doing this at the Spring Dance, which she will not be able to attend. Emily has a special place in my family's heart as she was in charge of getting Mitchell (and to some extent, Jake) to and from school - a job which reminds me of the phrase "herding cats". And she did this daily without bullying or threatening somehow, just very patiently. While I know this is research I really want to support, I am also slightly freaking out about my blond tresses hitting the floor. Please, PLEASE, make this occasion worth this crazy act and donate what you can. and thank you
