I've answered the call to be a shavee in honor of my little cousin Juliana. 2 year old Juliana’s 10 month battle against neuroblastoma ended earlier this year. Neuroblastoma is a rare condition and the cancer is difficult to treat in advanced stages.
In Juliana’s case, aggressive therapy seemed to have helped. But within a month, the cancer had aggressively spread. Juliana was a brave little girl who never complained or fought through her treatment. Sadly, as her Mom and Dad were holding her in bed, they thought they had heard her say a single word: “done” before she lost her battle.

I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
