I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

On 3/16/12 I shaved my head. I did it for two reasons. The first being this great cause of raising money to find a cure for childhood cancer. The second was for a high school club field hockey teammate of mine. Her name is Heather and currently plays at The University of Delaware. She had everything going for her when she was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma and now that is at stake. Before she was such a passionate player and hard-worker and you can still see that passion in her today as she fights her battle. I know she'll make it out on the other side of this, and this, shaving of my head, was the least I could do to support her. <3 #1
