I was inspired to do this by my dear friend Mandi Linder. Love you girl. She was able to raise $1600 to shave her head. Here is to hoping I can even come close to that...
I was a barber at the event at Ultimate Sports Bar in Yorkville on Sunday, March 11th 2012. We shaved 40 heads. It was the most incredible event I have ever participated in. It was an emotional day, full of hope, tears, laughter and fellowship. I am blessed to have been a part of it. And obviously eager to raise more for the cause. Every dollar counts you guys.... Remember, I'm not asking you to shave your heads, I'm offering to shave mine... ;)
I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
