I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

We are saddened to lose a faithful friend of the St. Baldrick's Foundation in three time shavee, Michael Eugene Rue, age 30, who passed away on November 1, 2012. He was beloved by his family and friends and all whom he touched with his infectious smile, his huge heart and his genuine caring for others. Born in Montgomery, AL, Michael was a 2001 graduate of North Springs High School. He was employed by Here To Serve Restaurants, most recently as a Manager at Noche in Vinings. He is survived by his parents, Walt and Mary Rue of Sandy Springs; sisters, Kristen Fowler and her husband Jeff and Kathryn Porubsky-Rue and her wife Autumn; brother, Jonathan Rue and his wife Bethany and grandmother, Georgia Nicholson. He is also survived by nephews, Joshua, Noah and Seth Fowler, several aunts and uncles, his beloved cousins and friends too numerous to count. Michael was a lover of all sports but was especially passionate about golf and "his" Clemson Tigers. A memorial service was held on November 5, 2012, at Sandy Springs United Methodist Church where Michael was remembered and his life celebrated. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Baldrick's Foundation in Michael's memory.
