I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hello~ I am participating in the St. Baldrick's Childhood Cancer Event at Preble High School on Sat. March 24th. I will be getting my head shaved in support of children who have had or are currently experiencing the devastating effects of cancer. Although I am not a kid - agewise - I still feel like one on a social level at times. Like these kids I am still traveling on my own cancer journey with a diagnosis of Non Hodgkins Lymphoma in Dec 2010. My current goal is to working toward achieving a stem cell transplant to take place at the Univ of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison in the near future. Besides the fact that cancer has touched my life, workimg with children is near and dear to my heart as my career is as a school counselor for the Green Bay School District. Preble High School also holds a special place as I worked there for 4 years and support all the wonderful work the Preble Sting Cancer Group has done to help people in our community affected by cancer. If you would like to make a donation to St. Baldrick's you can donate online, by phone, or mail under make a donation above on my webpage. Togethr we can all help take the sting out of cancer for children everywhere. Join me in helping our children kick cancer for good and improve the quality of their lives. Thank you for your support on behalf of this great cause as I go for the bald!!!
