A couple of summers ago, my daughter's best friend told her that a boy from her class was going to be going to our school. It just so happened that he ended up in my Emily's class, and that they became friends. And then it just so happened that I got to know his mom and we became friends! She is the amazing lady who is heading up this St. Baldrick's event- Emily MacBeth- and I am honored to know her and do the little bit I can to help her in this endeavor. I also happen to have known 3 different families within the span of one year have children diagnosed with cancer. These moms have been an inspiration to me. Please support me in this! With head-shaving and other fundraising events, this volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
