I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: NetApp Global Team

First off, as you may know, my hair is already fairly short. So, you probably think this is no big sacrifice for me at all. However, that is not the point.

Even though this is my first year participating in an event for St. Baldrick's, I still fervently support the organization. My mother had cancer in 2008, and lost all of her hair due to chemotherapy, and she has been diagnosed with cancer again just a few months ago. More chemo is to come and this fatal cancer is now spreading to her lungs. The reason I mention this is because I have gone through and survived cancer within my family, and I, firsthand, know it is a brutal struggle.

Therefore, I cannot emphasize enough the significance of even the smallest donation to help those poor, helpless kids suffering of cancer. Place yourself in their shoes for a second. Imagine spending practically your whole life in a hospital, undergoing countless operations and medical procedures that seemingly get you nowhere. These young kids are true fighters and have gone through more suffering in a few years, than we may undergo our whole life.

Please donate. Even if it is a mere dollar. The little things add up over time. The smallest donations and the littlest things you do can make these sick people extremely happy and grateful. Make a suffering child's day today. I can assure you they will thank you.
