I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Taylor Gang

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Taylor Gang

I first got involved with Saint Baldricks five years ago, in Las Vegas. I was overwhelmed by the generosity, courage, and compassion of the people who volunteered. I had very long hair at the time, and I resolved to raise as much money as possible to shave for the next event. I ended up raising about $2,500; more importantly (to me, at least) my date for the evening was also swept up in the spirit of the event. We ended up getting married this year, and she will be shaving her waist-length beautiful hair on the 8th. I am so proud of her that I could burst! It is a rare woman who has the bravery and selflessness to make such a radical donation; and I am a lucky man indeed. I will be shaving with her, but I'd much rather you donate in her name than mine... This is her day, and she's worked hard for it. Her name is Amanda Hopkins (it will be Taylor as soon as the paperwork is done!!!) and it all goes to the same great cause. Thank you, and god bless. Giving and caring are their own reward.
