I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Old School

To All – I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved for the 4th year in a row to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. In three years, I have raised over $2,500.00. Each year it gets harder and harder to ask for money from my family and friends especially in this economic crisis. I have always said that if I could collect just $1.00 from everyone in my contact list that would be enough. Well, all of you have been very generous over the years – thank you!! I will ask for your support again this year and tell you that any donation helps St. Baldrick’s. On a side note, Katie and www.Tuscanycreative.etsy.com are selling Shamrock ponytail holders and pins for $6 each ($2 from each sale will be donated to St. Baldrick’s in your name as well). http://www.etsy.com/listing/94092775/shamrock-pin-for-st-baldricks-fund http://www.etsy.com/listing/93940869/shamrock-ponytail-holder-for-st Also, this year this event carries more meaning to me than any other year I have participated. My dear friend for the last 30 plus years, Brian Kriz, passed away in January after battling cancer for over 3 years – he was only 37 years old!! I would like to dedicate this year to him in my heart. This disease SUCKS – enough said. I hope and pray for all of us who are effected somewhere in our lives by this awful disease. From my Mom, who is a breast cancer survivor, to those sick kids I would see in the waiting room as we waited for my Mom’s chemo, to Brian I hope something more can be accomplished to help us all – especially children. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
