I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Go Bald or Go Home!

YEP, I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. It's true, I don't have children of my own, but the thought of a parent- any parent- having to watch their child endure treatment for this horrible disease (or any disease for that matter!), or even worse- the thought of them losing their child is just unbearable to me. I am blessed that the children involved in my own life have not had to battle this disease, and I pray they never will. I don't relish the thought of shaving my head, in fact I'm scared to death. But take a look at some of the photos on this website. If these kids can go through it, its the least I can do to support them. It's only hair after all; it will grow back. But don't let me even THINK for one second about chickening out; The more you donate, the more courage you give me! And the more hope you give these children and their parents and families who love them. The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity which funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your donation will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you! Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and the top of my soon to be bald noggin! ~Sandy
