I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with:
Team Scarlett
Friends and Family,
As many of you know, my good friend and co-worker Sean McGraw (Director of Finance for the Central and Southeast regions) had an awful 2011. His beautiful, otherwise healthy 2-year old daughter Scarlett was diagnosed with Leukemia (AML) in July. Sean and his wife Dyan basically spent the next 6 months at Johns Hopkins with a handful of breaks between chemotherapy rounds. They alternated spending the night at the hospital with Scarlett so that one of them would be home to establish some sense of normalcy for big brother Gavin (4 years old). To see this little girl go through this fight so courageously was one most inspiring things I have ever witnessed.
I am extremely happy to say that Scarlett is done with her chemo and is currently in remission. They returned home in December and while it was a tumultuous 6 months, it was definitely the best Christmas they’ve ever had as a family.
So where do I come into this? On March 25th, I’ll be shaving my head with Sean and others to support St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a great charity that is committed to finding cures for childhood cancers. So where do you come into this? Please click on the link below and consider donating on behalf of Scarlett and anyone else you know that has been affected by these terrible diseases.
Be it known to all that this participant has dedicated at least three years of service to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation helping kids with cancer throughout all the land.
St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
